Bay leaves are aromatic leaves from a Laurel plant used for herbs and spices. It can be used whole or in a dried or ground form. They are available either dried or fresh, with numerous health benefits. The leaves added to soups, stews, can be taken out before serving.

Furthermore, the leaves and oil can be use to make medicine. It also gives your food a nice smell and taste. And aside from cooking, the bay leaves have other benefits that’s going to blow your mind. So, here are some reasons why it is important to include bay leaf in your food.

1. It can help to protect your heart health.

According to research bay leaves contain organic compounds that can help promote a healthy heart. One of these organic compounds called the Caffeic acid helps eliminate bad cholesterol from the cardiovascular system.

2. It can help to improve digestion.

Do you know that bay leaves can also assist and improve digestion? Yes it have strong effect in our digestion of food. Therefore it is not bad to include it in your food.
