Don't Solicit Funds For My Medical Treatment - Sunday Igboho Warns

Yoruba Nation Convener, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has warned that he has not asked any persons or group to solicit funds for his medical treatment.

Igboho said this while reacting to claims that he had asked some people to raise funds and collect voluntary donations from members of the public to assist him access medical care.

Igboho, who is presently incarcerated in Benin Republic, is said to be suffering from a suspected kidney infection, which saw him rushed to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.

While speaking through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, the Yoruba activist urged those behind the move to desist.

Igboho equally urged the Benin Republic government to allow him seek proper medical attention abroad.

''Sunday Igboho has not requested funds for his medical treatment. He has not asked any individuals, his security men or groups to solicit money for his medical treatment in Benin Republic.

''Our attention has been drawn to the activity of some individuals who claim to be collecting money on behalf of Igboho for his medical treatment. We hereby urge the public to discountenance such report as it does not emanate from us,'' Koiki explained.
