Technology is indeed crossing limits, getting more advanced as the day goes by. At some point in this generation, females would not worry about pregnancy and giving birth because artificial womb is right here with us knocking on the door. But does this seem right?
In recent days, there has been a skyrocketed breakthrough in the science and technology world. There has been much advancement in the daily system of life, the scientists always trying to make things easier for human beings.
It's no longer a surprising thing to artificial insemination. Now, here comes the artificial womb. Though there hasn't been one produced for giving birth to humans, but I think they already have everything about right.
An artificial womb (or artificial uterus) is a device that incorporates extracorporeal pregnancy by growing a fetus outside the body of a living organism that would normally carry the fetus till due time for birth. An artificial uterus, as a replacement organ, would have many applications.
Currently, the use of artificial womb to give birth to a lamb has already be proven right and successful. The study uses fetal lambs which are then placed in a plastic bag filled with artificial amniotic fluid. The umbilical cord of the lambs is attached to a machine outside of the bag designed to act like a placenta and provide oxygen and nutrients and also remove any waste. And at the end, boom!! Here comes the hale and healthy baby sheep, breathing and fully alive. Wow. Very soon it would reach the turn for humans to also practice this as it is already in progress, it just needs perfection.
Now the question is how possible is this? Well , to me, I think it is very possible, what is needed is just the males semen, just like in artificial insemination but this time around it wound be injected in a machine instead of human.
Well, with all these going on, Let’s just hope these scientists are not actually trying to challenge God because the normal pregnancy and child birth in humans and animals is already enough proof that He exist but let’s not go there for now.
Then another question is, would the ladies and husbands welcome this new development with open hands?
Do the ladies buy this idea?
Do they love it?
Would they feel a sign of relief not passing through all minor casualties during normal pregnancy or would they be like insecure about the machine having any effect on the child?
Well, we never can tell until we see it practically. Most feminists would actually love this idea unquestionably.
I hope to get enough answers from husbands and wives, the ladies and the gents in the comment section. Let us know what you think about this huge hit coming to the medical industry.
