Onion, a very good but also very dangerous vegetable. Here are its advantages and disadvantages

The health benefits of onions are many thanks to its many virtues.

1- It is a low-calorie food that tastes so good.

2- Onions prevent dangerous blood clots from forming according to a recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation. READ JOURNAL HERE

Also, according to this study, rutin, a chemical found in large quantities in onions and apples, could prevent dangerous blood clots. Rutin is thought to inhibit the build-up of platelets in the arteries and the formation of fibrous in the veins, two components of blood clots.

3- Onions help fight cancer

Cornell University researchers compared the effects of shallots on cell growth and free radicals to those of 10 varieties of onions. The study, which was conducted in 2004, demonstrated, among other things, that the shallot had greater antioxidant activity than onions and that it was very effective in fighting cancer cells in the liver.

Speaking of disadvantages, such as the benefits, there are also problems related to the regular consumption of onions.

As we know, onions are difficult to avoid whether or not you like them because they are important in cooking and therefore present in all our dishes.

But here are the disadvantages for which, we do not recommend the consumption of onions:

> Onions, certainly important but also very dangerous for health.

> If your stomach is sensitive, you need to be careful about onions because they contain fructan which is a carbohydrate well known for its damage.

> Fructan causes serious intestinal problems

> Onions are difficult for the body to absorb and can, therefore, cause excess water in your gut.

In short, as we cannot avoid it given its importance, it would be good to be careful about its consumption, that consumption is moderate.
