Sleep talking is a sleep disorder known as somniloquy. Men and children mostly sleep talk and this is why you need to read this article if you sleep talk.

1. Sickness:

People who are sick probably sleep talk because of the pains there are passing through as a result of that sickness. This pain makes them make some unnecessary sound while they sleep. This is what make sick people sleep talk.

2. Stress:

Stress also causes people to sleep talk as there are not conscious of what is happening to them while sleeping because of the stress they passed through during the day. So, there will try to obtain maximum rest by sleep talking.

3. Nightmares:

Nightmares also make people to sleep talk a lot because of the scary event that happened in their dream. So, there will try to react to that scary event in their dream which will make them voice out or sleep talk.

4. Drinking of alcohol:

People who drink alcohol mostly sleep talk because the alcohol will make them not to control themselves and will probably make them sleep talk while sleeping. 

How to prevent sleep talking:

1. Avoid eating heavy meal close to bedtime:

If you want to stop sleep talking, it is advisable for you to avoid eating heavy food close to bedtime because the food will make you lose control of yourself while sleeping and you may probably sleep talk.

2. Avoid drinking alcohol:

For those that always drink alcohol, if you want to stop sleep talking, I will advice you to avoid drinking alcohol.
