The liver is a vital organ of the body that is large, meaty. It sits on the right side of the belly. It weighs about 3 pounds, the liver is reddish-brown in color and feels rubbery to the touch. Normally you can't feel the liver, because it's masked by the rib cage.

1. Skin and eyes that appear yellowish.


2. Abdominal pain and swelling.


3. Swelling in the legs and ankles.


4. Itchy skin.


5. Dark urine color.


6. Pale stool color.


7. Chronic fatigue.


8. Nausea or vomiting.


9. Loss of appetite.


10. Tendency to bruise easily.

Scientists are not sure exactly why heavy drinkers of alcohol suffer from liver damage, but the reasons why alcohol damage the liver may include: Oxidative stress: When your livertries break down alcohol, the chemical reaction that take place can be destructive to your cells. This damage can result into inflammation and scarring of the liver. Drink one to two bottles of alcohol or totally stop its consumption to prevent liver disease.


3. Avoid Excess Intake Of Salt



Salt excessive consumption has been linked to hypertension. A new research recently carried out shows that salt can cause liver damage in adults and developing embryos. As a result of this, it is expedient to lessen the rate at which you buy foods from restaurant and other places. When you cook your food, you are always sure of the amount of salt you add to the food so that it won't affect you.
