Before I continue, it is necessary that I talk a little bit on the issue of blood sugar levels. Carbohydrates and sugars are the major source of energy for the body, but the body converts them to glucose which is supplied to the tissues. The absorption of this glucose depends on a hormone called insulin, which enables the cells to absorb this glucose.

In some people, the body does not produce enough insulin to convert this sugar,(type 1 diabetes). In others, the body's immune system may resist the work of insulin thereby leaving excess glucose in the body. (type 2 diabetes). We want to highlight some natural spices and herbs that can help in blood sugar management, should you have diabetes or prediabetes.
