Stop Eating These Foods in excess, They Could Damage Your Eye Sight

The eye is one of the most important organ in the body. Without the eye, the body is lacking a lot of things. This is why every body should have the knowledge of the things that are bad for his or her eye.

In this article, I am going to be discussing about foods that have over time been proven to damage eye sight you should avoid.

1. Processed Meats

When we start talking about processed meats some examples of this includes bacon, sausages and hot dogs. These types of meats have a serious effect on the eye health.

Most processed meats are loaded with salt, which overtime may lead to high blood pressure. High blood pressure has a serious effect on the eye.

High blood pressure leads to blurred vision, blockage of blood flow that kills the vessels thereby leading to vision loss.

2. Bread

Bread which is one of commonly eaten foods most people have overtime consumed also has some of its side effects to the eye health. Bread speeds up Age macular degeneration which leads to vision loss in older people.

It is a simple carbohydrate that digest quickly in the body leading to spike in blood sugar. It is best you swap this with whole wheat bread.

3. Deep fried foods

Fried foods has a lot of side effects to the body. Most fried foods are relatively high in bad fats and increased cholesterol which affects heart health, it could also lead to Diabetes, obesity and stroke when eaten in large quantities.

These all connects to eye disease and could generally lead to loss of vision. It is best you eat more of fruits and vegetables.

4. Sugary soda

Most sugary sodas have been proven to have a lot of disadvantages to the body. Some of which include increasing blood sugar. Multiple build up of these foods would lead to Diabetes and heart disease which affects eye health.

5. Alcohol

Although alcohol is not food, it is something almost everyone consume. When taken in excess, alcohol could lead to cataract at an earlier age and develop into other forms of eye diseases.
