Many people fear the aging process due to psychological consequences. However, as we get older even our internal body system begins to react differently to the various foodstuffs we can eat at a younger age. Some types of drinks and alcohol have been found to worsen conditions related to age specific, such as diabetes , high blood pressure and human ulcers.

And what kind of foods will people over 50 stay away to prevent needless health problems?

1. Fried foods

When people get older, science has found that they empty or digest food more slowly, thereby increasing the risk of reflux of acid. This problem is highly unlikely for young people, because their stomachs are efficient. In people above 50, however, this problem causes high fat foods, such as fried foods, to remain in the stomach leading to a sores and reflux. This is why it is best to avoid food of this nature.

2. Highly processed carbohydrate

White flower, cakes and sugar were discovered to increase blood sugar levels and to produce insulin overproduction that increases the risk of adult diabetes. This type of food must be avoided for 50 years and older.

3. Ice cream

The risk of constipation caused by slow digestion should prevent this food. Ice cream's high fat content, lactose and fiber absence make digestion difficult.

4. Alcohol

Alcohol in beverages over 50, age-related health conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and ulcer are worsening. Drinking alcohol regularly can, however, help prevent heart disease.

5. Cured meat

Highly processed meat is very high in sodium such as hot dog, pepperoni, and bacon. These foods can cause osteoporosis and weakened bones in women who are postmenopausal.

6. Coffee

Drinking too much coffee will accelerate the aging process in humans and cause skin irritation and dullness.

7. Margarine

Fatty foods increase the risk of a heart disease that can be fatal for people above 50.

8. High fructose corn syrup

In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, high fructose corn syrup has shown that the risk of obesity can increase because of the adverse effects on metabolism.

9. Soy

Food that is high in soy or oil can cause hormonal imbalance. Fermented soy is therefore safe to be eaten at any age.

10. Microwave popcorn

Popcorn microwave is harmful to brain health because it contains diacetyl, a chemical that induces amyloid disease in the brain. According to research, amyloid plague is linked with Alzheimer's disease.
