A very high amount of sodium in the body can trigger high blood pressure which is one of the major risk factors for stroke hence be careful in your intake of it.
2. Red meat
Research has shown that too much red meat consumption can increase one’s risk of developing stroke. Red meat has a very amount of saturated fat which can increase your risk of developing stroke and heart disease. Frequently consuming red meat appears to increase the risk of stroke significantly, while choosing to eat poultry and other proteins such as fish or nuts, lowers the risk according to a new research.
Alcohol and especially alcohol abuse, can significantly impact a person’s risk of stroke. Alcohol can also increase your risk of stroke because liver damage due to too much alcohol can stop the liver from making substances that help your blood to clot. This can increase your risk of having a stroke caused by bleeding in your brain.
