Traditional medicine practitioners in kogi state have commended the state government for taking proactive steps to tackle covid 19.
The state chairman of Traditional medicine practitioners chief Isa Obele gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja the state capital.
Chief Isa Obele noted that the prompt action of the governor in setting up a squadron committee to curtail the spread of corona virus was a step in the right direction.
He commended the Deputy Governor and chairman of the squadron committee for the prompt action taken so far to arrest the spread of the desease in the state and expressed joy that no case has been recorded in the state.
According to him, the body was also working round the clock to ensure that as alternative medicine practitioners they come out with a potential cure saying all deseases have a cure.
Chief Obele used the occasion to reassure the people that the Corona virus will soon be a thing of the past.
The chairman adviced the people to abide by all the directives of government in it's efforts to address the pandemic.
Also speaking the immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on alternative medicine Honourable Mustapha Onoruoiza commended the governor for showing interest in the health and well-being of the people of the state.
Onoruoiza called on the people to cooperate with the government in it's desire to frontally confront covid19 and urged them to maintain personal hygiene and avoid large social gathering.
