Body odour, which is also known as osmidrosis or is a very bad smell that comes from someone’s body when the bacteria living on the skin completely breaks down sweat into acids.
In this article, I will give you some easy ways to stop body odor.
To get started on how to get rid of body odour, you need to consider the following tips:
1. Make sure you take a bath at least twice a day; if you have body odor, try to bathe in the morning and at night to remove sweat and bacteria from your skin.
This is the best thing to do. It makes you smell fresh and clean at all times. After doing a hard type of job, such as working out, farming or cooking, you should bath with soap in order to get rid of odour-causing bacteria and sweat.
2. Another option is to apply an antiperspirant and a deodorant.
An antiperspirant temporarily covers the pores that usually produce sweat, making you not sweat. You should always apply an antiperspirant in the morning before leaving the house, and at bedtime. Applying it before going to bed gives the product the opportunity to work while you sleep.
3. Endeavour to Wear Breathable Fabrics:
If you are the type that sweats a lot, then I think you should always put on loose-fitting textiles such as cotton, linen, etc. to enable your body to get enough air, especially during hot seasons.
4. Maintain a clean armpit and shave on a regular basis.
Bacteria usually find it very difficult to survive in dry places. Hence, you should always make sure your underarms are dry. Also, when your armpits become bushy, it becomes very difficult for sweat to evaporate quickly. Thus, this gives the bacteria enough time to break sweat down and cause body odour.
