Big blow to Ogun State as doctors suspend services in isolation centre

The Ogun State Association of Resident Doctors at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, has withdrawn their services from the Covid-19 isolation centre.

According to reports, the doctors said that they suspended services due to the inadequate and lack of commitment by the state government.

The president of the association, Popoole Abiodun, and the General secretary, Tope Osundara, said that the response from the government after they embarked on indefinite strike do not please them.Abiodun said that their members are no longer at ease with the disposition of the government as their matters are not difficult for Ogun State government to look on.

He also said that since the government has chosen to rub the issues without any form of real commitment, the working members at the isolation center will henceforth, join the industrial action.

He later called on Ogun State government not to leave them up a creek without a paddle because their services are not to be abridged by the government's lack of commitment.
