Greetings to all my readers. The war against mosquitoes is a war that every Nigerian fights every day. Children are introduced to this war at a very tender age, so that it becomes a way of life for them. I remember being taught to clap my hands in other to kill mosquitoes when I was just three. Nobody wants to relate with those insects, terming them as blood suckers.
Mosquitoes are not only feared for their ability to suck blood but also their ability to to transmit Malaria, a disease that every Nigerian must surely battle against at least thrice in a lifetime. Therefore, we all believe they need to be killed.
About a year ago, I went through a post of a friend on Facebook and he advocated against killing mosquitoes with extremely funny reasons. Therefore, for the entertainment of my readers, I will be presenting four funny reasons why you shouldn't kill mosquitoes, and then, I will see your stance on the issue.
The reasons are:
1. The mosquito could be a drunkard trying to recover from his recent breakup.
2. The mosquito could be a pregnant mosquito, trying to feed.
3. The mosquito could be orphans with no food to eat.
4. The mosquito could be a ritualist trying to obtain blood to boost its business.
Aren't the reasons above hilarious? I believe you must have laughed at at least one of the reasons. If so, I hope you have been entertained.
Earlier on, I said I will also ask for your stance on this issue. Just as I told the poster a year ago, if you really pity mosquitoes, kindly donate yourself to them because as I for I and my family, we shall war against mosquitoes.
