The federal government promises to improve primary emergency medical services.

The federal government promised to enhance the country's fundamental emergency medical services in a Facebook post that Punchng News made public, stressing that doing so will help reduce morbidity and death.

Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, made this announcement at the start of a five-day training session organized by the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System in Abuja.

The EMT Gateway's operational arm, the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance, supervises the domestication of state emergency medical service and ambulance systems in the 36 states and FCT to operationalize emergency medical services in Nigeria.

The Federal Ministry of Health's Deputy Director for Media and Public Relations, Ahmadu Chindaya, signed a press statement in which the minister reiterated the commitment of the administration to Universal Health Coverage.

It was also reported that the mister asserted that the federal government is dedicated to putting into action a thorough strategy for emergency situations.
