In our society today, many youths are ignorant of the fact that smoking kills, we have to do away with smoking because it destroys a person.
Smoking is a practice in which a substance is burned and the resulting smoke is breathed in, to be tested and absorbed into the bloodstream.
REASONS FOR SMOKING
Addiction is the main reason why people smoke because of Nicotine addiction which is a drug that affects many parts of your body.
Smoking becomes your pattern when you enjoy all your daily activities like watching TV, hanging out with friends, going to specific places when smoking which will become your daily routine.
Most people smoke because of the emotions it cause to them. Some people smoke because it has help them cope with Post-traumatic stress disorders(PTSD) symptoms, negative moods, and the stress of daily life.

• Smoking is harmful to almost all the organ of the body which causes several diseases to the smoker.
• If you stop smoking it reduces the percent of you having any smoking related diseases, which will also add years to your lifespan on Earth.
• Smoking leads to about 90% of all long cancers death.
• Smokers are exposed to a high chances of suffering from heart diseases, stroke and lung cancer.
EFFECTS OF SMOKING
No matter the percent you smoke, tobacco and its products are generally harmful to your health. All the constituents of tobacco are generally harmful which are acetone, tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide.
Did you know that cigarettes contains about 600 ingredients and when these ingredients burn, they generate more than 7000 chemicals. These chemicals are poisonous and 69 of them are linked to cancer.
Smoking affects the Central Nervous System due to the fact that it contains Nicotine which is a mood altering drug. Nicotine reaches your brain in mere seconds and makes you feel more energized for a while, as the effect wear off, you feel tired and crave more.
Smoking badly affects your Respiratory system. When you inhale smoke, you are taking in substances that will damage your lungs. With time, this damage leads to a series of problems.
Smoking damages your entirecardiovascular system. Nicotine causes blood vessels to tighten, which restricts the flow of blood. Overtime, the ongoing narrowing, with the damage of blood vessels, can cause peripheral diseases.
Smoking also raises blood pressure, weaken blood vessel walls, and increases clots. All these diseases come together and result to stroke.
Smoking affects your Integument system(skin, hair and nails). Smoking actually changes the structure of the skin, increases the likelihood of fungal nail infections and also increases hair loss, balding and graying.
Smoking affects the digestive system by increasing the risk of mouth, larynx and esophagus cancer.
Quitting smoking is difficult, but your doctor can help you make a plan. Ask them for advice. There is a variety of non-prescription and prescription medications that can help you quit.
If you stop smoking it reduces your risk of having cardiovascular diseases and lots more.
If a smoker stops smoking it reduces his risk of having cancer which means smokers are exposed to cancer.
Smoking is very dangerous to our health, and you know health is wealth. You have to prevent yourself from this menace. Smoking is just like signing your death warrant.
Don’t be deceived, smoking has no advantage.
Don’t allow anybody lure you into killing yourself.
Think about it, the money a smoker use to buy cigarette is very high and can be channel to doing something meaningful instead of burning it.
