2 Types of Foods Believed to be Bad for High Blood Pressure Patients But Later Found False

There have been a lot of things in which people believed were true but later turned out false. Over the years, a lot of people have believed that these two foods I am about to mention are bad for high blood pressure patients but this all turned out to be false.

Eggs and Melon seed (Egusi) are the two types of food in which a lot of people believed are bad for high blood pressure patients but this is false and I am going to prove this.

1. Melon Seed (Egusi)

According to, Egusi Is rich in anti inflammatory properties which helps in treating infections and injury. It also contains some anti cancer and anti arthritis properties, although more research is needed to verify this.

Other sources states that Egusi seed is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids just as other types of seeds, this helps in reducing blood pressure rather than increasing it. It also contains high quantity of magnesium, zinc, potassium, calcium and iron.

2. Eggs

Eggs are another type of food that people have attributed as bad for high blood pressure patients, but according to mayoclinic, chicken eggs are high in cholesterol but their own cholesterol doesn't seem to increase cholesterol level or blood pressure level.

They are a much healthy option than Saturated fats and trans fats. So consumption of eggs doesn't in any way rise a person's blood pressure but it should be taken in moderation.
