When you rest your hands to touch a germy surface and then use them to touch your face, it triggers your risk of getting sick and getting pimples, too.
5. Your mouth
Touching your mouth puts you at a great risk of becoming infected with germs. You’ve probably been in situations that make you nervous, and you might end up biting your nails to relieve yourself of stress. It’s also possible that you bite your nails regularly if you are always anxious. Know that it is very normal to behave in some ways so as to relieve your stress, but if you’re biting your nails consistently, you may be doing more harm to your teeth. Your fingers may contain dirt in them which can introduce bacteria to your mouth. Also, biting your nails, places pressure onto your front teeth. The increase in pressure can suddenly weaken your tooth enamel, leaving it to crack or chip. It may take some time before you begin to experience the effects of nail-biting, but the stress inflicted onto your teeth will begin to cause fatigue to them. Other health issues caused are damaged gum tissue from jagged nails.
6. Your eyes
The eyes are sensitive and delicate organ of your body. You can only use your hands to touch your eyes when you’re washing away a particle that found its way into your peepers, otherwise keep your hands off the eyes. You can easily attract germs to your eyes by using your hands to touch them. These germs can lead to anything from pinkeye to a scarier infection. And if your eyes becomes itchy or dry, please do visit your doctor as he can help treat the eye problem.
