8 Risk factors that can cause leukemia

Leukemia is known as one of the most common type of cancer that affects people in our society today. This illness is known to be dangerous as it has not cure like other types of cancer.

Moreover, leukemia which is also known as blood cancer is a cancer of blood-forming tissues, hindering the body's ability to fight infection.

Blood cancer becomes more dangerous especially when it gets to a very chronic stage. Most people today have been wondering the cause of this illness, but there is actually no specific causes. Though, it has been said that there are some factors that can trigger or cause this illness.

4. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

5. Exposure to petrochemicals, such as benzene.

6. Extensive exposure to artificial ionizing radiation.

8. Alkylating chemotherapy agents administered to treat other types of cancer
