6 Healthy Foods That Can Be Harmful To Your Health If Eaten In Excess

1. Cruciferous vegetables

3. Cinnamon

However, if ingested in large quantities, the high coumarin compound can be dangerous. It has the potential to cause liver damage and cancer.


4. Oliy fish

Omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines aid brain development, fight inflammation and lower the risk of heart disease. However, if eaten in excess, they can be dangerous. Excessive consumption of oily fish can lead to vitamin A toxicity and increase the risk of bleeding. Because this is a risk for both youngsters and pregnant women, limit your intake of oily fish to 1-6 grams per day.


5. Coffee

Some people drink coffee in the morning. Coffee includes antioxidants and other active substances that have been found in studies to reduce the risk of degenerative diseases, type-2 diabetes, and liver disease. Muscle tremors, sleeplessness, stomach cramps, and heart palpitations can all occur if you consume more than 500-600mg per day.


6. Nutmegs

However, if nutmegs are consumed in large quantities, the myristicin chemical in them can cause food poisoning, with symptoms such as discomfort, nausea, delusion, and seizure.
