"Stop Buying Weight Loss Pills In Any Form On The Internet" - Kemi Olunloyo Warns Nigerians

'Health' as they say is wealth and if health is okay, then every other thing can be thought about to fall in place. No doubt that a lot of health products are in the market, some have been identified as illegal while some are approved by health practitioners and also backed by law.

However, a medical journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her twitter handle to warn Nigerians about buying and using if weight loss pills.

She stated that people in Nigeria should stop buying weight loss pills in any form on the internet, especially Phenetermine, which she said was a dangerous appetite suppressant. Adding that this Phentermine has been partly condemned by FDA (Food And Drug Administration) in the 90's.

She also cited her being one of those clinical pharmacist who fought for regulation.

According to a 2018 article by Jake Ryan and Anna Roberts, deadly diet pills were being sold on Instagram by some drug dealers to teenagers that are desperate to lose weight for as low as 90p. This was reported via a Sun investigation. You can read the full details of the article by clicking HERE

Seems like Kemi Olunloyo might have seen such rising again in present times on Instagram and has advised Nigerians to abstain from such act.
