Tips for Young People to Prevent Premature Grey Hairs

In my last article, I talked about the reasons why young people grow grey hairs prematurely. Some of the reasons ranged from gene , vitamin B 12 deficiency, thyroid health issues, unhealthy nutrition , smoking and stress.

Now that we've already known the reasons, let's take a look at some home remedies to prevent premature hair greying.

1. Stop smoking: it has been shown that cigarettes contains carcinogens and other elements that causes cancer which in turn affects our hair follicles. So if you are a chain smoker and you don't want to wake up one day to see tiny stands of white hairs sprouting up from your head , better quit smoking now!.

2. Scalp Massage : Every night before going to bed, you can massage your scalp with almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. This prevents premature hair greying. Curry leaves and coconut oil can also be used as they all fight against premature hair greying.

3. Good Nutrition : Eat lots of proteins. You can also add sufficient amounts of vegetables to your diet.Also eat pure dark chocolates because they are rich in copper which boosts melanin production in the body. Note: while these foods help in preventing premature hair greying, try to reduce your intake of oily and fried foods, tea, coffee, alcohol.

4. Manage Stress : You should learn not to overwork yourself as stress is the first culprit if you are suddenly undergoing a massive change in your hair color. Learn to keep stress in check.

5.Check your thyroid levels : thyroid malfunctions such as hyper or lower secretions, also are prone to growing of grey hair. So make sure you check your thyroid levels so as to manage it effectively.
