Happy international women's day to these five beautiful ladies of the same parents, who are representing their family and Nigeria at large in the medical sector, and other strong, hard working women out who are resilience in all they do.
These five Nigerian sisters are an Ebira ladies from Okene Local Government in Kogi State. They are the product of good and quality education and a perfect definition of, "If you educate a woman, you educate a nation".
Their names and their professions are trending in our society because their parents knew the important of education as it plays a very important role in the life of human being, and not only in the life of male child.
That's to say, educating a woman/girl child means educating the family, nation and society. No wonder this famous proverb would say, "If you educate a boy then only single family is benefited and if you educate a girl/woman then two families will be benefited'.
More so, "If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate a family (nation).
Below are names of these blood sisters and their profession in medical field.
Salamat Ahuoiza Aliu (she is the first female Neurosurgeon in west Africa)
Halima Aliu (Plastic Surgeon)
Raliat Aliu (an Obstetrician and a Gynaecologist)
Khadijah Aliu (a Family Physician)
Medinah Aliu (Public Health Physician)
On a day like this, which is International women's day, these rare sisters should be celebrated among other notable women and ladies of this great country.
Their parents deserve to be celebrated too because without their financial support, encouragement, prayer and other input resources, they wouldn't have made it this far.
This should also encourage many Nigerian parents who may think training a girl child is a waste of money, such parents should have it at the back of their minds that gonna those days. The earlier you train your girl child the earlier you know you're training a nation etc.
