Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic disease that has over the years claimed the lives of a few people. Although it is not as deadly as many other chronic conditions, it could also lead to death.

3. Eat a healthy diet

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, Omega 3 fatty acids and low fat diary products helps a lot in reducing blood pressure.

4. Reduce your consumption of sodium.

5. Take your medications according to doctor's prescription.
