The heart is one of the intricate organs of the human body. It is located in the chest slightly to the left of the center and it is a muscular organ. and the size is around a closed size fist. The heart is responsible for delivering oxygen and blood to tissues and other organs and it is also responsible for carrying away waste.

The heart serves our whole body and it is an intricate part of us as humans. A person with no arms, legs, or pair of eyes can still function and lead a good life but a failed heart is the end of a person. You stop existing the moment your heart stops beating.

1. Stand up and exercise

This sounds easy and normal but most times we end up sitting behind our desks for hours, we drive cars, take lifts, lie in bed and we just forget to stand up and walk, jog or do any other physical activity. When you stand up and walk around, you also help your blood move around and body, and your heart will thank you for this.

2. Stop Smoking

Smoking causes your blood vessels to increase in size and this may lead to heart attacks. 

3. Eat protein first

when you eat protein first your stomach stays fuller for a long period and your blood sugar stays stable and this can also keep you from overeating foods that are not beneficial to your body or sugary meals that can spike your blood sugar or make you overweight.

4. Know your numbers

know your blood pressure, body weight, cholesterol level, and blood sugar. You cannot change something you don't know, nor can you improve what you are ignorant of. When you know these numbers, you know what to eat, how to eat it, and other lifestyle changes you can implement.
