Meme is any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that is transmit verbally or by repeat action from one mind to another in a comparable way to the transmission of gene. It is usually humorous, which is copied and circulated online with slight adaptations, including quiz, basic picture, video templates etc. 

47% of students claim that memes help ease symptoms which are caused by anxiety and depression. Memes can help release stress through laughter, connect people with similar opinions or illuminate a subject that maybe sensitive or contested. Since today's memes are based on social media, they are also a good way to gain influence online. Creating and re blogging of popular memes is a way of people to get more followers but this social media connections can be leveraged in both positive and negative ways. Various problems can be tackled in memes in a way that makes a point but still eliciting a laugh.

In this way memes help stabilize the flow of stress hormones like cortisol and epinephrine, it also help produce more endorphins which is considered a natural painkiller.
