2 Health Dangers Of Using Your Phone In The Toilet

If there is something many people like to do, it is using the phone in the toilet, which is a very very unhealthy habit. Many people actually do this because they are very addicted to using their phone to watch videos, or use social media. Some people even go as far as spending several minutes and hours in the toilet without even knowing it, all in the name of using their phones. What you may not know is that the more you spend time in the toilet, the more germs your body is accumulating and this can lead to serious health conditions, which is something you do not want. For the purpose of this article, we are going to be looking at some of the health dangers of using the phone while in the toilet.

a) Too much pressure on your anus: yes, this is one of the major health dangers of using your phone for too long in the toilet. When you sit for too long in the toilet while scrolling through your social media or watching videos, can actually increase your risk of hemorrhoids, according to some expert research even though there is no yet concrete evidence to back this up. Hemorrhoids can lead to severe pain, swelling and bleeding, which is very bad for the body. If you are sure you do not want to experience any of this, then you have to avoid sitting in the toilet for long hours.

b) Bacteria Contamination: the toilet is unarguably the most contaminated place in the house because it contains lots of bacterias. What you may not know is that the phone you are using in the toilet can get fecal contamination, which could be due to lack of hand washing skills. A contaminated phone can be very dangerous to your health, as it is held directly to the face, and your hand you use in holding the phone is also used to eat. For you to avoid this, you have to avoid using your phone in the toilet, and wash your hands thoroughly and regularly with soap.
