For women: five healthy exercises you should do while in your monthly period

As a female adult or teenager, you could be going through a lot of distress during your monthly cycle and may not want to disclose it with anyone due to private reasons. Certain exercises should be considered to ease or relieve these abnormal body symptoms or pain experienced during monthly periods and in this article, I will be sharing five of these healthy exercises with you.

1. Walking

A simple, light walk is the best exercise you can do during your periods. This low-intensity aerobic exercise helps your lungs work properly later in your cycle. These will also help you to uplift your mood and will you able to burn some calories. These light movements of your body will increase the secretion of endorphins.

2. Yoga

Yoga is very helpful when it comes to enhancing good moods and relaxation of the body during monthly periods. Many yoga poses help to increase your blood circulation, provide ease to your noxious complaints and relieve your period symptoms such as cramps and bloating.

3. Pilates

Pilates is the most trending type of workout nowadays because it helps to relax your body and keep you calm and healthy. It can also be useful to women in their periodic cycle as it builds a core strength that can reduce the severity of your cramps.

4. Light lifting

In a situation where you are unable to go for a walk, light lifting can be used as an alternative because it helps to relieve the pains in your abdominal area and also increases your muscle flexibility and strength.

5. Stretching 

Simple stretches at home are one of the most common and important exercises that can be beneficial to a woman who encounters distress during her monthly periods. If you are having more discomfort doing other exercises, then try to do stretching and take deep breaths to relax your body muscles.
