The Awake publication "The Next Global Epidemic-WHEN? was published by Jehovah's Witnesses in December, 2005.
Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian organization known in almost all lands of the world. Their headquarter is situated at Warwick, USA. They have the largest number of magazines translated in over 150 different languages. They are famously known for their constant house-to-house witnessing. They gather at various local kingdom halls for their weekly meetings. Their teachings and ways of worship is believed to be different from other denominations.
However, this issue of the Awake became famous because it addressed a global pandemic disease. The magazine discussed in detail about influenza virus, how it can be spread, types of influenza, features of the influenza virus and causes of the virus.
The question that popped up at page 8 of this magazine was "Could it come back"? Notice how it addressed this question.
The article stated and predicted that mankind is overdue for another pandemic.
What else did it state? It continued " The pandemic virus may emerge in China or a nearby country and could include surface antigens or virulence factors derived from animals". How coincidental!
The Vaccine article predicted concerning the virus. "It will spread rapidly throughout the world. Several various of infection will occur. Morbidity will be extensive in all age groups, and there will be widespread disruption of social and economic activity in all countries. Excess mortality will be evident in most if not all age group. It is unlikely that healthcare systems in most economically developed countries will be able to adequately cope with the demand for health care services.
This is almost true. This is exactly what has been happening in the world today. It is sad to say that we failed to heed the warnings.
