It Will Take Nigeria 120 Years To Have The Required Number Of Doctors - Mallam Adamu

The health care system of any country is very important in protecting the lives of its citizens.

A lot of work needs to be done to ensure that Nigeria has enough trained doctors and medical practitioners because there would always be an increasing number of people who seek medical help.

As reported by Instablog9ja, minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has stated that it will take Nigeria 120 years to achieve the required number of doctors.

Mallam Adamu Adamu stated that the doctor-patient ratio has fallen below the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations. He then explained that the reason for this is that there are inadequate facilities.

This caused a lot of reactions online and below are some of them:

A very effective way of tackling the issue as stated by Mallam Adamu Adamu is to ensure that the government create jobs for students who have graduated from medical schools in Nigeria.

When they are provided with jobs, they would not abandon their study and they would be able to use what they have learnt to contribute to the health challenges of the country.
