How To Help Your Body Release More Insulin Naturally

Insulin is the hormone that helps our cells to absorb glucose. When the body is unable to produce enough insulin or the cells are unable to utilize insulin released by the cells, it results in diabetes.

Some medications can help the body to release insulin. In the same vein, some foods can enhance the production of more insulin by the pancreatic cells. We want to highlight those foods which can enhance the production of more insulin by the pancreatic cells.

1. Plant proteins.

Proteins from all sources is good, but plant based proteins have been proven to stimulate the production of insulin. Plant based proteins include beans, lentils, peas and tofu.

2. Unsaturated fats.

Taking more unsaturated fats have been proven to stimulate the production of Insulin by the pancreas. Unsaturated fats can be gotten from consuming nuts such as walnuts, almonds and cashew nuts.

These nuts also contain vitamin D , which is known to improve insulin sensitivity.

Oily fishes such as salmon, mackerel, tuna, sardines, herring and pilchards are also good sources of unsaturated fats.

Healthy fats can also be gotten from oils such as olive oil, avocado oil, canola oil , sunflower oil and safflower oil. Avocados are also a good source of healthy oils for the body.

Insulin is released by the body when we consume foods containing glucose but these foods may help the body to release more insulin naturally.
