Carbon monoxide is a hazardous gas which when inhaled can have a detrimental effect on the human body. The generator fumes are one of the means by which carbon monoxide gas can be produced. Inhaling these generator fumes can lead to the accumulation of carbon monoxide gas in the body.
Here are some of the things that can happen to your body when you inhale carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes;
1. Carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes displaces the oxygen found in your lungs and bloodstream thereby causing difficulty in breathing.
When you inhale carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes, it will prevent your lungs and bloodstream from getting enough oxygen. This will result to difficulty in breathing.
2. Inhaled carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes can cause damage to the heart.
The heart is a vital organ which requires oxygen to function effectively. However, when you inhale carbon monoxide from generator fumes, this poisonous gas will displace the oxygen that flows to the heart. Doing so will prevent the heart from getting enough oxygen thereby causing damage to the heart muscles.
3. Carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes can cause severe tissue damage
The tissues found within your body are usually deprived of oxygen gas whenever you inhale carbon monoxide from generator fumes. This can cause the breakdown and damage of some of these tissues.
4. Inhaled carbon monoxide gas from generator fumes can cause damage to your brain.
When generator fumes are inhaled into the body, the carbon monoxide gas from the fumes can damage and prevent your brain from getting enough oxygen. This can cause headache, dizziness and confusion.
