5 Signs That Show You Do Not Have Enough Blood In Your Body & The Foods You Need To Eat

Lack of blood which is medically refered to as, anemia occurs when a person does not have enough red blood cells in their body. There are different types of anemia and each type is caused by something different.

Some types of Anemia like; iron deficiency anemia and vitamin anemia can be prevented but other types of anemia cannot be prevented rather, they can only be treated. Toddlers, infants, people who are up to 65 years and women have a higher risk of having anemia.

When a person becomes anemic there are certain signs they will notice, however, some people may not be aware of the signs of anemia which could be dangerous.

Here Are Five Signs That Shows You Do Not Have Enough Blood In Your Body

1. Rapid Heartbeat: a person's heart is meant to have a rythme and beat in a particular way. People's heart only beats fast after a strenuous physical activity or, during stress.

So, when your heartbeat becomes abnormally fast for no apparent reason, it might be a sign that you are anemic.

2. Shortness Of Breath: the red blood cells helps to transport oxygen in the body. And anemia is a situation whereby, a persons body does not have enough red blood cells.

So, when the body lacks enough cells to transport oxygen round the body, it will result in shortness of breath which simply means, the the person will find breathing difficult.

3. Tiredness And Weakness: the blood is like the fuel that keeps the body going so, when the body's fuel supply reduces significantly it affects the body and result it tiredness and weakness.

Also, red blood cells helps to transport oxygen to the body organs and when these organs are in short supply of oxygen, it can weaken them which can result in weakness and tiredness.

4. Paleness: when a person lacks blood their skin can become pale or, yellowish. This happens because, the skin is in short supply of blood and oxygen.

If you suddenly start noticing that your skin or, the skin of your child is becoming pale or, turning yellow, it might be as a result of anemia.

5. Dizziness, Lightheadedness And Headache: when a person has anemia their body organs including their brain will be in short supply of both blood and oxygen.

When this happens, it can cause the person to start feeling dizzy and lightheaded sometimes the person might even feel like they are going to faint. Anemia also causes headaches.

Other signs that indicates a person lacks blood includes; cold hands and feet and pain in the belly, chest, bones and joints.

Foods You Should Eat Regularly To Prevent Anemia

1. Iron-rich Foods: iron is an essential nutritent that helps the red blood cell to transport oxygen in the body.

Iron-rich foods includes dried fruit, meat, beans, and dark leafy vegetables.

2. Folate-Rich Foods: folate is so known as folic acid or, vitamin B9. Foods rich in folate includes; fruits, beans, dark leafy vegetables and whole grains.

Other foods people should eat regularly to prevent anemia are; soya beans, tomatoes, and dairy products.
