Earlier today, in line with the directive of Governor Samuel Ortom, the honourable commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Chief Ekpe Ogbu and his colleague the Honourable commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr.Ongbabo Elaigwu were at Oju LGA to access the primary health care at Owo-Ohuhu community.
Chief Ekpe Ogbu while addressing the staff and villagers stated that they were directed by the Benue state Governor, His excellency Samuel Ortom to access the damage that was cause by the heavy downpour that was accompanied by a heavy windstorm which blew up the roof of the hospital for upward consideration of the community request that was sent to him. He assured the community that their plight would be addressed, accordingly.
Those amongst the inspection team were the permanent secretary ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Mr.James Ogah and the technical team.
It is a known fact that Benue Health Centers have never been fortunate to have quality facilities, thereby causing untold hardship for patients and those in need of health care. Hopefully, this visit will turn the fortunes of the people of this community around for good.
