Health COVID

Photo of first Nigerian nurse to receive Covid-19 vaccine surfaces

It is no more news that there is now vaccines to cure the deadly Coronavirus diseases that shook the world in the past year. Also you will remember that there was social media drama when news that the vaccine is to be tested in Africa.

Many Africans, especially Nigerians reacted against the news claiming that they are not affected by the virus, and so many other reactions that can't be expressed enough.

Some hours ago, the picture of a woman was trending as the first woman to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in Nigeria. According to BBC News Pidgin, the woman is a nurse and her name is Faith Eragbai who is the Chief Nursing Officer at the National hospital Abuja.

See the picture clearly.

The post and the picture attracted a lot of reaction from social media users.

Some of the reaction was geared amidst different opinion that has rolled out earlier based on the panic and fear attached to the vaccine as being a poison.

To me, in the picture the woman was only trying to style herself after receiving the vaccine that she is more normal as against people's believe about the vaccine. And she being a nurse was making herself an example for others to receive it without fear. It shows that the vaccine cannot harm the system.

The vaccines had been announced to be readily available and one can schedule a meeting online with the issuers on when the vaccine can be received.
