When you begin to experience a pain in your chest, it can be a possible symptom of an impending heart problem. Certainly chest Pain is not something to be ignored. When a person begins to experience chest pain, the first thing that comes to your mind is heart attack but I need to make it clear that chest pain can be caused by problems in the lung, muscles, ribs, etc.

Depending on it's cause Chest pain may be:

. Dull

. Burning

. Aching

. Stabbing

. A tight, squeezing sensation.

- Pulmonary hypertension

✓ Gastrointestinal Problems

- Peptic ulcer

- Pancreatitis

- Gastroesophogeal reflux disease (GERD)

- Esophageal rupture or perforation

- Esophageal contraction disorders

- Esophageal hypersensitivity

- Gallbladder problems

✓ Bone, Muscle, or Nerve Problems

- Rib problems

- Muscle strain

- Shingles

Other causes are: anxiety and panic attacks.


- Dizziness

- Tingling sensation and trembling

- Burning feeling in the chest

- Sweating and lightheadedness

- Sensations of shortness of breath

- Palpitations
