5 Symptoms of Stress

Truth is, stress can cause you numerous problems in, especially when it comes to cognitive abilities. Maybe you are not sure what’s wrong, but people keep telling you that you look stressed and that’s more reason you will need to seek help.

1. Aches and pains: Our muscles tense upon order to protect themselves from injury when stressed, they relax when you relax, but if one is constantly stressed, our muscles don’t get much chance to relax up which in turn causes aches and pains.

2. High blood pressure: When stressed, our body produces hormones. This hormone increases the blood pressure by causing your heart to beat faster and your blood vessels to narrow. However, there hasn’t been proved that stress causes long-term high blood pressure

3. Trouble having sex: Stress goes along with anxiety. Stress causes low level of testosterone, which plays a role in sex drive. Therefore, when stressed, it triggers the way our brain sends signals to the penis to allow for a good blood flow.

4. Muscle tension and jaw clenching: One may clench their jaws or grind their teeth without knowing it when they’re stressed. Stress also causes muscles to tighten up, clench their fist, and also lead to tension in the shoulders and neck region.

5. Exhaustion and trouble sleeping: One in stress can become emotionally exhausted and overwhelmed, and this can lead to insomnia.
