Sleep is a very important part of human existence. Sleep helps to repair, rejuvenate, and relax the body. People who do not get enough sleep can suffer from what is called, sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation is dangerous to the health because, it can cause minor health problems like, headaches at best or, severe health problems like brain damage at worse.

Some medical experts believe that, people should sleep for at least 6-9 hours daily in order to remain healthy. Unfortunately, due to certain problems like stress, sickness, insomnia, lifestyle habits etc people may find it difficult to sleep at night which can, affect their health and their ability to perform their daily activities.

Some people go to the extent of taking medication in order to sleep which is also not very healthy. Thankfully, there are natural ways that can help people sleep at night without having to take sleep medications.

Although, the degree of effectiveness of green tea has not been fully established, it still believed that green tea helps to induce sleep. But do not comsume green tea that contains caffeine because, caffeine can cause sleeplessness in some people.

2. Warm Milk: according to Healthline, milk contains a compound called tryptophan which helps to increase the serotonin levels in the body. Serotonin is a neurological transmitter that is responsible for regulating the sleep hormones in the body.

Serotonin is also responsible for, our well being. The tryptophan in milk helps to induce sleep. Taking warm milk at night can help people sleep better at night.

3. Tumeric Tea: tumeric is a plant that looks like ginger. Tumeric contains a compound called curcumin. The curcumin in tumeric makes it very good for the health.

Drinking turmeric tea can make people sleep better at night it can also relieve the effects of sleep deprivation in people who have not slept well for a long time. Turmeric tea can be more effective if milk and ginger is added to it.
