5 Common Foods You Should Avoid When Having Stomach Pains

Stomach pain is one thing almost every one has experienced at one point or the other in their lives. Sometimes it is because of the wrong food we ate during the day or even stomach Ulcer which might be developing.

All together there are certain foods you should eat at this point and some you should avoid because they might worsen your situation and probably make you feel more uncomfortable.

In this article, I am going to be talking about 5 common foods you should avoid when having a stomach pain and some of the reasons why

1. Fried Foods

Fried foods include food like chicken, fired plantain chips, banana chips and even fried beacon or pork. All these have an effect on stomach upset.

They are filled with a lot of oil and fat which makes them harder to digest by the stomach. Normally, fried foods have been proven to be unhealthy to the body even when you are healthy.

For people suffering from a stomach upset it could even become worse for the body.

2. Soda

It is even the common belief of most people to take a bottle of soda when they are having stomach upset. This is not recommended at all.

The bubbles produced by soda could be a problem as the gas will hit your digestive system making it more worse than it was. Also sugar hitting your bloodstream at once could make your diarrhea worse (that's if you are suffering from diarrhea). Taking small sips of the soda may be OK.

3. Diary products

Diary products goes beyond milk and yogurt, other diary products includes ice cream and cheese all of which are bad for stomach upset.

They are high in sugar and fat which makes it harder for the body to digest it. try going for non fat yogurt, they might be good for you. But gradually take it to see the side effects.

4. Spicy Foods

spicy Foods could adversely affect a stomach upset . This is because the stomach will find it hard to digest it and it might keep you in serious pain. For people with stomach Ulcer, it is recommended that they avoid any spicy food.

5. Raw fruits and vegetables



As much as fruits and vegetables has it benefits to the body at different levels. It could also be dangerous when you are having stomach upset.

This is because most fruits and vegetables are high in fiber which could make you feel worse. It is better you avoid them till you feel better.
