4 Common Food Items You Should Always Add To Your Diet To Boost Your Health

There are important things that are actually common but needs to be added to our food always. Some of these things were already handed to us by our parents.

In this article,I want to to look into some things that should be considered essential In our diet.

1. Pepper.

Pepper is an important spice that should be added to our food in moderation. Taking too much pepper is dangerous as it may cause diarrhoea or other stomach cramps.

But putting a little pepper in your food will help to prevent unnecessary inflammation in the body. You know that inflammation is the main cause of chronic diseases.

Red bell pepper is also one of the richest sources of vitamin C.

Pepper contains capsaicin and carotenoids which acts as antioxidants that helps to protect the body against chronic diseases. So,it is important to add a little pepper in your soup as our ancestors handed down to us.

But don't overdo things. You may cause harm to yourself if you do so.

2. Salt.

A lot have been written about salt in recent times which makes many people to think that salt is not good. As a healthy person, you may not be fine if you avoid salt completely.

The truth is don't overdo things, salt is good for your body because it helps to guarantee fluid balance in the body. Avoid it only if your health condition makes your doctor to advise you to do so.

3. Green vegetables.

When I see some people who doesn't like vegetables, the feeling that occupies my heart is pity. Green vegetables are wonderful food for our body containing folate, B vitamins, vitamin C and carotenoids.

Add them to your diet and let it become an essential part of your daily diet.

4. Onions.

Many people dislike onions because of its smell and it's effect on the mouth. But it is undoubtedly an essential ingredient in a soup' or stew because of its nutritional value.

Onions contains important antioxidants which helps the body in various ways as shown below:

* It contains cancer fighting compounds

* It supports the health of your heart

* It may help to control blood sugar.

* It may help to facilitate digestion.

* May help to prevent oxidation stress

It is important that we make sure that these ingredients are contained in one way or the other in our diet at least once in a day.
