Bad breath is what we can experience because of the food we eat. Digestion of some food releases sulfur compounds into our bloodstream. When the blood reaches our lungs, it produces bad breath in our mouth. Also, there are some particles of food that hangs in our mouth, bacteria are produced around this food causing a bad breath. Mouth odour can be very bad, especially if we are not aware of it. The good news is that it can be controlled.

Here are three home remedies for bad breath.

1. Green tea: Green tea is a very good remedy for bad breath. Green tea has disinfectant and deodorizing properties that can freshen the breath. So what we can do is brew green tea and drink it before we sleep. We can also keep it in the freezer overnight. When it's the morning we take it before going out. This helps to keep a good breath throughout the day. We can walk confidently in our place of work without worrying about our breath.

2. Oranges: Oranges are very common and we take them every time. Little did we know what it does to our mouth. Some people do not have enough saliva to wash away foul-smelling bacteria. What oranges do is enable us to produce enough saliva to wash away these bacteria. Oranges are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C helps us to produce enough saliva and it washes away the bacteria. We should consciously take oranges now and not just see them as a fruit for dessert.

3. Baking powder: The third one is baking powder. Yes, the ones we use in baking cakes. They are very effective and they help reduce bad breath also. Putting a spoon in a glass of water and using it to wash our mouth would help with bad breath and mouth odour.
