Farting or gasing can be very embarrassing in public mostly when it holds you either in a public area, in a bus or anywhere aside your home. But did you know that by understanding your farts, you could actually learn a great deal about your digestive health and what to do if it requires special attention. Although, passing gas (mess) up to 20 times a day is completely very normal but when you fart countless times or when it goes higher, then it could mean something else.

1. Scentless farts

Scentless farts are perfectly very normal and are mostly caused as a result of the air we take in through our mouth or a fizzy drink. You can actually have dis fart in public without people recognizing that you gas.

2. Stinky farts

Talking about "stinky farts", they are pretty normal if you’re eating red meats, broccoli, cauliflower, beans or milk but it's scent is as result of the gas created when we break down foods with sulphur which of mostly called "hydrogen sulfide".

3. Extremely stinky farts

If you’re passing out this type of gas which is simply unbearable, it can be that there is an underlying intestinal health issue your body is experiencing. However, in order to see what your body can’t take, try taking various foods to see if your farts are extremely still stinky. Maybe for instance, if you taking dairy often causes you to pass out unbearable smelling farts, then it's a clear indication that your body could be suffering from "lactose intolerant".

4. Frequent farts

If you find yourself in this case, farting more than the advised 5 to 10 times a day, then it could mean that you’re suffering from excessive gas and bloating which often leads to discomfort. It can also be an indications of a food allergy either in meals and the ingredients that are involved such as cheese, milk, nuts or gluten. Consider seeing a doctor if this farting continues.
