9 major benefits of eating cucumbers

Squash, pumpkin, watermelon all belong to the same plant family as cucumbers called, “cucurbitaceae family”.

8. Breath freshening. Cucumbers may help to rid mouth of odor-causing bacteria by placing a cucumber slice on the roof of your mouth. Cucumbers are also known to help release excess heat in the stomach which is said to be a primary cause of bad breath.

9. Support digestion. The two most basic elements needed for healthy and easy digestion is water and fiber contained in cucumbers. You can meet the ideal amount of fiber your body needs by adding cucumbers to your juice or salad when 50 grams per 1,000 calories is consumed. Drinking water may help suppress acute symptoms of acid reflux by temporarily raising stomach PH and it’s possible that water-rich cucumbers can have a similar effect.
