Without a doubt, the human eyes is among the most important and sensitive part of the body, since it is dedicated to our vision, which ensures our safety, hence requires care.
Interestingly, there is this common habit most people tend to exhibit and that is to 'rub the eyes,' just to relieve itching brought about by; eyestrain, allergies, infections and lots more.

Unfortunately, this habit is proven to be harmful or rather can damage the eyes when done too often, after all 'too much of everything is said to be bad you know.'
This is because, regularly rubbing the eyes with our hands can cause tiny vessels in the eyes to break, which can result to blood shot eyes and tiny dark circle.
It can also bring about a very common eye defect, known as conjunctivitis, due to the presence of germs in the hands.

Note that conjunctivitis or pink eye, as we know, is an irritation or inflammation of the conjunctiva, which covers the white part of the eyeball, it can be caused by allergies or a bacterial or viral infection.
Therefore, it is advisable to consult an eye specialist for an eye drop or others, when you regularly experience itching, so as to prevent causing the eyes more damage(rubbing the eyes) and as well tackle other eye defects early.
