An ovarian cancer are cancer that begins in the female organs that produce eggs (i.e ovaries).

This kind of cancer often goes almost undetected until it has spread around the pelvis and stomach. At this late stage, ovarian cancer is more difficult to treat and can be extremely fatal.

Though this cases are quite rare in Nigeria, with fewer than 100 thousand cases per year. It's an aliment treatable by a medical professional and it requires medical diagnosis.

Here are some tips to keep your body healthy and lessen your chances of developing ovarian cancer:

Try Foods High In Fiber

You need foods that are high in fiber and nutrients that will keep you full with fewer calories. Green leafy vegetables are high volume foods that provide plenty of health benefits without overdoing calories. 

Fiber can also reduce your chances of developing colon cancer.

Consume Vegetables More

According to findings, some plant foods should always be a included in your cancer-fighting diet. Cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, water leaf, and ugu contain compounds known as glucosinolates that have shown anti-cancer effects.

This veggies gives you extra vitamins and more nutrients to stay full, healthy, and aids to fight cancer at the same time.

Drink Tea More

If you love beverage other than water, it is more advisable to try some green tea, because it contains polyphenol compounds, and it includes epigallocatechin gallate, that has been shown to inhibit ovarian cancer. 

Try To Limit Your Red Meat Consumption

Processed meats should always be avoided to keep your body in tip-top shape. Limiting your intake of red meats such as beef, pork and lamb will help lower your risk of ovarian cancer. 

When you are consuming meat, make sure you’re buying quality organic meats without harmful growth hormones.
