Effect of regular intake of coconut water on the kidney

Without arguments, the kidneys in our bodies are very important, especially in filtering the blood, excreting urine, stabilizing electrolytes, and many more. However, the kidneys demand a lot of care and attention due to their importance and timeline functions in the body, and the things we ingest can either work in their favour or against them.

One of the things that people love to ingest or take regularly whenever they have the opportunity is Coconut water, which taste relatively sweet when tasted on the tongue, but is loaded with lots of organic chemicals that are good for the kidneys. In this article, I want to briefly discuss some of the things that regular intake of Coconut water can do for your kidneys according to Healthline.

According to Healthline, drinking coconut water has been shown to provide a number of health benefits, but many people still aren't aware of them. Coconut water is good for you for several reasons, including keeping you hydrated and preventing kidney stones. Although water is the best drink for the kidney, coconut water is slightly more useful in preventing kidney stones than water. Kidney stones form when calcium and oxalate crystals build up in the kidneys. Coconut water has been shown to help neutralize kidney stones in several studies, while further research is needed to validate these results.

The urine concentrations of potassium, chloride, and citrate were found to be higher after consumption of coconut water in a study of 18 people with kidney stones (three compounds that can form kidney stones). Evidence like this suggests that sipping coconut water may help patients with kidney stones dissolve them. Regular use has also been demonstrated to aid in kidneys cleansing and reduce stone formation.
