All rats are not of the same size, some might be big, some small, some very long. What I witnessed at my backyard was done by a giant rat which comes around every night in my yard. I plant some seed in pot and a giant rat dug some really big holes there I didn't know what I did, or what it secreted in to the plants. But I went to browse the web and I discovered that this type of rat is called a Norway rat, it feeds on plants. Actually I never thought rats feed on plants this was my first time hearing this, the rat was the size of half my hand from my fingers to my account elbow. Here are some pictures of the holes the rat dug.
And if you have ever experienced any form of rat attack please be kind to comment and share.
