Why Did EndSARS Protesters Decide To Launch A Commemoration Protest Whereas FG Has Already Compensated Them?

Amid the commemoration of the EndSars protest that took place last year which sparked off today in Lagos and some other areas in the country, the Minister of Information and Culture, Prof Lai Mohammed has come out recently to state that the victims of the EndSars protest which took place last year have already been compensated by the federal government.

The minister who made this known in a report from Daily Post noted that all states shall set up appropriate modalities to ensure that all the victims who were awarded compensations eventually receives them.

In the light of the recent development, I became entangled with thoughts as to why Nigerian youths would still go ahead to launch a commemoration protest whereas the federal government had already compensated the victims of the protest that took place last year.

Concerning my indecision about the issue on ground my question is; Why did EndSars protesters decide to carry out a commemoration protest which no one knows it's outcome even though the victims of the previous one that was held last year have already been compensated?

However, in as much as we all are humans I personally believe that the ongoing commemoration protest was because the youths involved in the protest wants something extra that money can't buy from the federal government, thus they found the need to take to the streets to say that they still aren't happy with the current situation of things in the country.

What are your own thoughts on this?
