The much talked about June 12 protest seems to be gathering momentum, as protesters have reportedly defy police warning and started gathering in different part of the country to protest.
Nigeria's Democracy Day Is a public holiday commemorated on June 12 to mark the restoration of democracy to the country.
This year, protestors are planning to boycott the public holiday by holding protests.
In the build-up to this year June 12 celebration, many political stakeholders and Nigerian Police condemned the protest because of the fear that the protest could be hijacked by hoodlums and lead to violence.
The June 12 protest has already started in some part of the country like Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Sure.
Many of the protesters were seen with placards calling for an end to bad governance in Nigeria.
There was also a heavy security presence, comprising of the police, army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
