On Thursday, a Wuse Zone Six Chief Magistrates' Court sentenced six men to six months in prison for having fake US dollars.
Yahaya Zakari, 38, Shehu Aliyu, 22, Umar Abubakar, 39, Abubakar Muhammed, 41, Abduraham Usman, 29, and Muhammed Abubakar, 33, have been charged with two charges of conspiracy and fraudulent possession.

The offenders were condemned by Magistrate Musa Saddeeq after they pled guilty and asked the court for mercy.
Saddeeq did not provide the convicted with the option of paying a fine.
The convicts were apprehended, according to the Prosecution Counsel, Okonko Udo, based on intelligence reports received by agents from the IGP's Special Tactical Squad.
They were apprehended on June 23 in Abuja's Mabushi district, according to Udo.
According to the prosecutor, the offenders were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for how they came to possess counterfeit banknotes during the police inquiry.
According to the prosecution, the offense violated sections 97 and 376 of the Penal Code.
